Luke 12:33

“Provide purses for yourselves that will not wear out,

a treasure in heaven that will never fail…

for where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.”

This verse was the basis for a sermon I heard at a point when I was trying to decide whether or not to commit to beadwork.  I wasn’t expecting anything earth-shattering in church that day, but when the pastor read this verse, it shook me.  I had no more doubt that I should work on my art.

But the verse means more to me than a directive.  It says to me that, of all the things I do here on earth, most will pass away when I die.  But whatever I do to promote the love of God will survive forever.  If you want to know more about God, or why I feel this way, please contact me.
